As I mentioned in a previous blog post, Kenneth and I are big fans of Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams. We often stop here with friends or family who are visiting us in Columbus, Jeni's has a flavor for everyone! Our most recent visit was to the Bexley location after eating at Rusty Bucket with my parents.
All eight Columbus Jeni's ice cream shops have a fresh, clean atmosphere and great decor, the shop in Bexley has these awesome glass milk jug lanterns hanging above the indoor eating area and lovely large prints of cows and one of Jeni working in the kitchen. I enjoy stopping at different locations just to see how the decorations have changed for the current season!
Great decor aside, the real reason anyone stops at Jeni's is for one thing: amazing ice cream! On our most recent visit, Mom and Dad split a bowl with a scoop each of Buckeye State, Savannah Buttermint and Brambleberry Crisp. Kenneth had a scoop of Banana Honey and Buckeye State. I went with a scoop of Salty Caramel and Black Coffee. All delicious!
We will definitely be back to Jeni's in Bexley again, it's close to our community garden and ice cream makes a great post-gardening snack!
