Butterfly 'Tie-Dye'

I made this t-shirt today at work with my co-worker, Marty.  It's an example of the butterfly 'tie-dye' t-shirts we will be making during Family Fun at the Conservatory this Saturday.  


There are great online tutorials on how to make a 'tie-dye' t-shirt using Sharpie markers like we did.  To make the butterfly we traced a butterfly stencil and used a medium sized bucket instead of cups when dripping the rubbing alcohol.  Check out the tutorials from Martha Stewart and Steve Spangler Science!
