I threw some spinach into a fruit smoothie for lunch today - it was surprisingly good! I'm not usually a fan of green smoothies, but I couldn't taste the spinach in this smoothie (though you can see specks of green in the photos!). The recipe below is approximate, I didn't measure anything.
Healthy Purple Smoothie (Gluten-Free, Vegan)
Makes one drink
Ingredients:
1 handful of blackberries
1 fruit cup of peaches (and juice) or 1/2 of a fresh peach
1 big handful of spinach
about 1/2 cup of orange juice
Directions:
Add ingredients to blender in the order listed (works best this way if you're using a Magic Bullet or other blender where the last ingredients added are the first blended). Blend until all ingredients are liquified and combined. Enjoy!
